Gregory Slayton

Biography:

The Honorable Gregory Winston Slayton is an American author, diplomat, professor, businessman and philanthropist and teaching in Dartmouth College, Harvard Business School and Stanford.

As a diplomat, the Honorable Gregory W. Slayton has served as US Chief of Mission (aka Ambassador) to Bermuda for four years under both Bush and Obama and has been be awarded the Distinguished Foreign Service Award by the Congress. Slayton has also been the in charge of the George W. Bush’s 1999 Silicon Valley Campaign and the Bush Cheney (2004) in George W. Bush’s 2004 election. Ambassador Slayton also serves as Co-Chair of the National Campaign Committee for the former Governor of Minnesota Tim Pawlenty who is widely regarded as one of the major contenders for GOP Presidential candidacy for 2012.

As a businessman, Slayton served as Pres/CEO of two public-listed Silicon Valley high tech companies as well as on the Board of Advisors of Google and other Fortune 500 companies. Also, Slayton has its own privately held investment company-Slayton Capital and the US lead director of Biomass (By 2015, Biomass investment will reach to $33.7 billion)

For Philanthropy, Slayton and his wife, Marina, have also founded Slayton Family Foundation. In addition, Slayton and his wife co-produced a Bermuda bestseller (“400 Years of Friendship: US/Bermuda Relations 1609 –2009) and donated over $250,000 for local Bermuda charities. His next book "Be A Better Dad Today!" is being published by Regal Publishing for Father's Day 2011.
